Attorney Deborah Dilman has been a family law attorney in Mecklenburg County since 2005, and a valued member of the Southpark Family Law team since 2020. Prior to becoming an attorney, Deb worked in the financial industry for many years. While she enjoyed that work, she felt that something was missing: the opportunity to make a real difference in her clients’ lives. In the practice of family law, Deb gets to have a meaningful impact on her clients’ lives and future every day.

Deb is respected in the Mecklenburg County legal community as an attorney who is reasonable and focused on solutions. Clients appreciate not only Deb’s ability to problem-solve, but her attentiveness to their concerns and her willingness to educate them on the law. Deb understands that being embroiled in a family law dispute can make life feel as if it’s spinning out of control; she takes great pride in connecting with her clients, putting them back in the driver’s seat, and empowering them with the information they need to make good decisions for their families.

With her background in both finance and family law, Deb is a certified Family Financial Mediator and a Collaborative Law practitioner who focuses on helping clients resolve family law issues through dispute resolution processes outside of litigation. One of the things Deb enjoys most about her work is being able to help clients find creative solutions that give them hope for the future and peace of mind in the present.

When not working in the office or volunteering in the community, Deb enjoys reading, exercising, and enjoying the Charlotte food scene.
