New Year – New You….

So, we get it. We’re humans. Most of us dislike setting New Year’s Resolutions or New Year’s Intentions. Like “Here I go again, setting myself up for failure”. Resolutions, or Intentions as some call them, are just meant to be broken, right? Who really keeps all of their Resolutions? It hurts to break that promise to yourself. Just like those promises to yourself about getting things done. Things like those awkward, difficult conversations about your mortality.

But, let’s face it – there is NEVER a good time to think about your mortality, and compound that with those pesky New Year’s Resolutions/Intentions and 2023 here we come!

But, what if, just what if, you do make the conscious decision to set and keep just 1 resolution; 1 intention – that is to finally get those estate planning documents completed. Those pesky little documents that are ignored every year, and every year, the new year rolls around, you are a year older, and you still do not have those documents done!

If Covid taught us anything in 2020, 2021, and 2022, it’s that life can be too short.

Well New Year – New You!

Be better in 2023. Let the professionals at Southpark Family Law walk you through the process of establishing your estate planning documents – Last Will and Testament, Living Trust, Advanced Directives, maybe a financial Power of Attorney – whatever your needs are. Talk to a professional at our firm who will be by your side every step of the way counseling you on what documents are best for you to have now, what documents can wait (hint, probably none!) and reminding you of how much better you will feel knowing you have done this.

Our attorneys will discuss options with you. You make the decision on what you need to complete. Once completed, you can put these finalized documents in your safe, give copies to people important to you who need to know, and take several deep breaths. After that, pat yourself on the back because you did it! You completed a New Year’s Resolution – a New Year’s Intention.

Happy 2023 everyone!
