I am passionate about the law and I care about my clients. These qualities make me a strong advocate to have on your side during this very difficult time in your life. As a mother, I know how much your children mean to you and how you would do anything to shelter them from harm. Children are often the innocent victims in their parents’ divorce. While it may be impossible to shield them entirely from the impact of your divorce, I will work with you to minimize the impact on your children as much as possible. My goal is to educate you regarding North Carolina law and how it applies to your case, so that you understand all your options. Divorce can be a terrifying experience, but I will empower you with the knowledge of what to expect every step of the way. I majored in mathematics and then worked in the banking industry for many years prior to becoming an attorney, so I have a strong financial background to handle complex financial support and property division cases. I’ve represented clients in Forsyth, Davie, Davidson, Rowan, Alexander, Iredell, Catawba, Mecklenburg, Cabarrus and Gaston counties, on matters involving child custody, child support, equitable distribution, post-separation support, alimony, contempt, and breach of contract claims. Not every case requires litigation, and many cases can be resolved out of court using alternative dispute resolution methods such as collaborative law, arbitration, and mediation. But if litigation becomes necessary, you can rely on my years of trial experience to protect your interests in the courtroom.

I have dedicated my career to making sure families are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to adequately protect themselves and their loved ones. I am a former high school teacher with over 11 years of experience working with families in a variety of high conflict situations and believe my role as your attorney is to educate you and to make the law easier for you to understand. As a divorcee, I have experienced the life-altering trauma of marital separation and as a mother, I know firsthand how important it is to ensure your children are shielded through such a difficult time. I also know how crucial it is to be empowered with strong support by your side as you navigate the legal system. I am a proud member of the South Park Family Law team and a strong believer in our firm’s dedication to collaborative conflict resolution and client-centered services.
I went to law school to help people. I then specifically chose the field of family law because I know my strength lies in helping people who are going through a hard time. I have represented clients in court in over fourteen counties across the state of North Carolina on matters involving child custody, child support, equitable distribution, post-separation support, alimony, contempt and domestic violence. I have also settled many cases using alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation and arbitration. As your attorney, I am dedicated to making sure you have all of the tools and support you need to get through this difficult time in your life.
